List: The Best Virtual Vibes for Caribbean Culture 2021

De vibes cyah done!

Since Carnival events, fetes, and Caribbean artists transitioned to cyberspace in 2020, we can now gather as a global carnival community to enjoy Caribbean culture and music no matter where or when we are. Last year brought some incredible virtual vibes (big up to Style & Vibes for gathering them all up here, in case you missed any)!

It is our Soka Tribe duty to keep you in the loop, so we're compiling a list of Internet events you don't want to miss, moving forward. We'll update this post as artistes and promoters launch safe and fun events to enjoy at home, so check back often!

Jan 27th - 31st  - 6p ET nightly - TUCO Calypso and Kaiso Concerts

Trinidad & Tobago Calypso Unified Calypso Organisation brings its legendary carnival-time tents to the virtual space. Acts include Super Blue and Lady Aiesha (Weds. night), All Rounder and Lady Wonder (Thurs. night), Baron (Fri. night), Tony Prescott (Sat. night), Cro Cro and Heather Mac Intosh (Sun. night), AND MANY MORE. Jan 31 - Time TBD - Soca Dance Championships 

An international dance contest! The judges are looking for de world's greatest Winin' King, Winin' Queen, and Soca Squad (no, the Soka Tribe Convoy is not in the running ) ...watch the preliminary judging rounds live on @teamsoca IG and Julian's Promo Youtube Channel.

Feb 3 - TIme TBD - Artform 3: A Love Note to Carnival by Nadia Batson

Nadia Batson and friends bring a Carnival-themed celeration, streaming live on @cnc3news, @dmusicapp and Nadia Batson’s YouTube channel.

Feb 4 - TIme TBD - Edwin...I Am by Edwin Yearwood

The Bajan veteran artiste invites you to celebrate his birthday with this mini concert. Tune in to @edwinyearwood on IG or stream live on Facebook.

Feb 4 - Time TBD - Chance: The Origins by Preedy

Feb 12 - 6pm ET - Xperience Concert Fete by Xceptional Xperience

Feb 12-14 - World Fete Live 4

From the folks who brought you Virtual Toronto Carnival 2020, comes three days of virtual, interactive themed fetes: The J'ouvert Experience, The Virtual Road, and Beach Fete. Get dressed up and wukk in de camera!

Feb 13 - Time TBD - Tropical Luau Brunch Fete  by The EEEmpire

The annual Trinidad Carnival fete will be both in-person and livestreamed this year. Further details TBD.
